Teacher Training Seminar at WTIJ International School Hamamatsu Apr 2014
Thank you to all our wonderful participants who made our inaugural Teacher Training Seminar one to truly cherish and remember!!
We were lucky to have people come to us from as far away as Tokyo. What was most surprising and wonderful was the fact that everyone was so willing to participate and share their ideas and
experiences. We all walked away with a treasure trove of new stuff to try out and ponder over.
We kicked the day off with everyone getting up and coming to the front to introduce themselves and tell a bit about their experiences. What an extraordinary start to the day. Then we discussed
strategies needed for lessons involving pre-schoolers, followed by those for lower and upper elementary students.
Our sponsor then had a word with us all until we just couldn't hold out any longer and we broke for a lovely lunch prepared in our own kitchen by our own Head Chef, Arne Karm! The Mustard chicken
and the Gratin style potatoes were gone in a sec! Delicious.
We devoted the afternoon to going over some finer points in lesson planning and just touched on Junior and Senior high lessons.
Our participants went home with their well earned certificates which were presented to each personally, appropriately accompanied by the sound of We Are the World!!
A special thank you to Esel Delgado who's efforts and time brought us all together.
